Ressurection

They watch that episode when everyone else has gone to bed. Billy has only had time to catch an episode here and there and, when Dom mentions his "death scene" and Billy shrugs and shakes his head, he knows exactly which tape to play first. After Charlie comes sputtering back to life against all odds, Dom asks Billy what he thinks.

"That was fucking incredible," Billy says. "Jesus Christ, I really thought you were dead there, even though you told me otherwise. The timing between Jack's pounding and Kate's crying and shots of you—fantastic editing."

"Look a little green, there."

Billy laughs. "That gave me chills, man." He grins and reaches out, touching Dom's face. "Yeah. You're still warm." A fingertip lingers, finding cheekbone. Billy's grin melts into a smile and, before he can stop himself, he leans in and pecks their mouths together. Nothing new, but it feels different this time.

"I'm alive, Billy. Are you?" The whisper sends Dom's breath across Billy's mouth, and Billy presses their lips together again. He's not sure when friendly pecks have safely evolved into soft kisses, but they seem to have run out of ways to get closer.

"I am now."
