Billy has remained behind, engineering their escape from Merry and Pippin forever. But it’s hard, and even the playwright’s intervention hasn’t helped—yet.

It’s time to let go, Billy tells Dominic, and Dominic’s surrender comes punctuated by an angry, tidal crash. When he deletes the file, Billy hears the sound of effort and time wasted—
